Since then, the Association has hosted one-week seminars each summer in various locations across Western Canada and now offers, in conjunction with the Centre for Ministry Development (CMD), a Canadian Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies. Annual Gathering 2011 Dates: Thursday, January 20 to Sunday, January 23, 2011 Theme: Fuel-Up! Retreat Master: Msgr Mark Hogemoen Keynote Speakers: Jamie Taras and Msgr Mark Hogemoen Location: Vancouver Archdiocesan Centre Accommodation: YMCA, Downtown Vancouver Registration forms are coming with further details Annual Gathering Each year, usually near the middle of January, WCACYM hosts an Annual Gathering for its membership. These gatherings offer an opportunity for networking, rest, discussion, personal formation and professional development. They include a day of reflection, two days of professional development on a topic of interest to Youth Ministers, and the Annual General Meeting. It is at this time that we also select those who will serve on the association's executive. Topics addressed in past years include, among others: Youth Ministry with a Family Perspective, Moral Theology and Youth,Scripture, Spirituality of the Minister, Justice and Jubilee, and Living the Mystery of the Sacramental Life.
